Rev. Dr. David Rangel is a native from Monterrey Mexico and a clergy of The North Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church. He came to Dallas in 2005 as a missionary to support the Hispanic Methodist churches of The North Texas Conference. He earned a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering in Administration and a minor in Music Education. He graduated from Perkins School of Theology of Southern Methodist University with a Master of Divinity. In 2018 he was certified as a Life Coach and in 2019 earned a certification in Leadership and Team Management. David Rangel completed his doctoral studies at Perkins School of Theology of SMU in 2020. David Rangel was the lead pastor of Casa Linda United Methodist Church, which became one of the most vibrant and fastest growing churches of The North Texas Conference. Pastor David and Casa Linda became an incubator of future planters in association with Path 1 and The Center of Church Development of The North Texas Conference. In 2015 Casa Linda was chosen to receive the “One Matters Award” for being one of the churches in the U.S. with more professions of faith in a year. In 2018 he guided Casa Linda in being the first Spanish speaking multi-site church in The North Texas Conference. In the same year, he joined the faculty of the Course of Study School at Perkins School of Theology where he teaches Advance Preaching and Discipleship Formation. David Rangel has led his own coaching group Momentum since 2018, which trains pastors and churches on the area of preaching, discipleship, leadership and ministry strategies. He has been married to his wife Liliana since 2011, and together have two daughters, Emma Olivia and Camila Michelle. He loves to play and watch soccer, read about ministry leadership, he enjoys playing guitar, going on vacation to the Mexican Caribbean, and spending time with his family. His favorite passages are Jeremiah 29:11 and  Colossians 3:23.
